Solitude

Photo taken near Cody, Wyoming 6/9/07 ISO 400 F6.3 1/60 400mm Tamaron lens
Beautifully,
this majestic mule deer buck in velvet stands alone
atop a grassy mountain ridge sunning himself in the warm spring air,
just another beautiful photo of my moms.

Good morning Stacey - and Tyler. Beautiful image as always - all misty and mysterious. Thank you for sharing the beauty of your surroundings - and your talent - with all of us.
So - you liked the baby bluebirds, huh? Aren't they sweet?

Love the deer - but especially those with your kids and the camp robbers!
And the fox picture!!! Looks like reverse stalking!
Cheers, Klaus!

Tyler, I always wonder each day what photo your Mom will be sharing and my anticipation is always rewarded with something beautiful, such as this Mule Deer today. Your words address it with the respect that all creatures of the wild deserve. It all goees together so nicely: the picture, the words and the music.

I LOVE the velvet - there is something so endearing about a buck in velvet - I'm not sure what. I've taken thousands of deer images and my all time favorite is a buck in velvet. As always, Tyler - you picked one of your Mom's best! I like what you wrote to go with the picture!
