I think the B&W presentation is very effective. The composition is really quite dramatic, especially with the placement of the right owl's eye so close to the corner.
In all the years I've lived here in Connecticut I've only seen one owl - and that poor guy (he was huge, but don't know what he was) was being chased and harrassed by a group of crows. I really felt sorry for the owl!
Hi dear Stacey, Again I have missed so much here!! And all gorgeous! I admire that you post every day. I was looking back at these photos I've missed and although they all are 100% excellence, I love the LUPINES. I love lupines. And when they are mixed in with orange poppies, which is how they grow in California, I love them even more. Purple and orange side by side is so delicious! And I simply ADORE CHIP-CHUNK. Oh my GAAAAWD. It is SO cute. I wondered if it was a female; it looks like it could be pregnant. You have such a gift and are in an amazing area for wildlife photography. Hugs and kisses to you, Rob (Thank you for sharing! People needed to be reminded of the beauty that still exists in the world.)
That is unbelievable. I know, but every day you seem to add new depth to your work. At the risk of sounding condesending, I am so proud of you. You have truely become my greatest inspiration! One day, I hope I will be that good.
This is a beautiful photo. Love the little chipmunk down below and the buffalo story was great also. And I have to say that I love the music in your collection. I sometimes leave your site up just for the music.

It looks like they've puffed themselves up to look larger. You were lucky to ne able to photograph them.
