a Portrait

Another image of Mr. Frigid taken from my window when this little guy peaked inside, as he did each morning. I believe there was a stack of books in the window sill, but I thought I had missed them when I took the picture. Obviously not, as this is how the photo came directly from the camera. I don't think I could have planned this photo to turn out like this, but I really do like the result.

Beautiful picture! Our bluebirds are gorgeous, but maybe not as pretty as your mountain bluebirds.
This almost looks like a painting.

A really amazing photo! Such a beautiful blue, and nothing to distract from the bird.

I LOVE the result! Don't you love it when you think you missed something and it turns out better than you hoped? I'm sure that happens to you more than me, but I know the feeling.

Stacey,
This is the most beautiful photos of a most beautiful bird. Thanks for all you see and how you catch it on film for all of us to share with you.

Mr. Frigid is the bird equivalent of a super model. He doesn't do traditional posing. Great shot. I have not been by for a bit and enjoyed scrolling down the page and seeing all your beautiful photos. Cool lizards and the big ram and skywatch and.... I always enjoy my visits.

I'd call this one "Blue Phanthom" or "blue ghost". What a happy accident this turned out to be!
