Skywatch Friday

9/25/2008~F5~ISO400~1/60
This first photograph is the view that presented itself to me as I took my children to the bus stop yesterday morning. I was transfixed by the blazing colors that seemed to coat the expanse of the sky. I couldn't wait to stop and snap a few pictures before the sun rose higher over the distant mountains erasing this fantastic scene forever.
This photo has not been enhanced, just raw from my camera.
I still hear my youngest saying over and over "Red at night, sailors delight, Red in the morning..... Sailors warning" Well, it was a beautiful day with temperatures around 80 with the nice cool breeze that reminds us that Autumn is really here..I guess this time the old fable did not ring true..
In any case, What beautiful and breathtaking way to start the day.

I don't normally post scenery pictures, but when I was looking through my files earlier today I came across this image that I took while out with my husband and a dear friend a few weeks ago.. Every day I am humbled by the wonder and beauty that I am lucky enough to live amongst..
Have a wonderful Skywatch Friday everyone, and don't forget to click the link and see what other skywatch participants are sharing this week..
Catch you later~

Both photos are stunning! The colors in the first one are beyond belief. In the 2nd one, it looks more like a painting than photo. The beauty of nature... there is NOTHING like it.

You ARE lucky, and I'm so glad you realize it. Both pictures are fantastic, obviously in completely different ways, but they look like a place anyone would want to be.
